What this tool is for
The simplest DNS question there is: what address does this name point to right now. Both IPv4 and IPv6 answers are shown, along with reverse lookups where they exist, which usually reveals whether a site sits behind a CDN. This is one of the few tools here that needs a server, because the question is about the internet rather than about your data. The request is made from our server, rate limited, and nothing you enter is stored.

Frequently asked questions
Why are several addresses returned?
Large sites answer with a rotating set so that load spreads across servers. Any of them serves the site, and your browser picks one.
The address does not match what my computer sees.
That is normal. DNS answers can differ by geography and by resolver, and this query runs from our server, not from your network.
