What this tool is for
Resize by exact pixel dimensions or by percentage, with the aspect ratio locked by default so nothing gets stretched. Downscaling is done in steps rather than one jump, which keeps detail that a single-pass resize smears. Your images are processed by your own browser through the Canvas API. Frequently asked questions
Can I enlarge an image?
You can, but no detail is invented. Upscaling past about 150 percent looks soft, and only an AI upscaler produces convincing results beyond that.
What size should web images be?
Roughly twice the display size to look sharp on high density screens, and no more. A hero shown at 800 pixels wide is well served by 1600, not 4000.
